COVID-19 Safety Measures

Welcome to CrossFit Skirmish & Energy Gym.

As you will appreciate, COVID-19 is now endemic within our community which means that the impact is managed via vaccines and self-regulated testing/isolation.  

We ask all users to exercise common sense ie.  if you are exhibiting any possible symptoms – shortness of breath, persistent cough, cold or flu like symptoms please take a COVID-19 test.   If you test positive please follow NHS Scotland guidelines and don’t attend the gym until you have tested negative.   This helps to keep everyone safe.

Clearly whilst COVID-19 doesn’t pose a dangerous threat to the majority of the population, we still need to be vigilant by maintaining some of the processes we implemented during the pandemic, especially hygiene control.    We have therefore retained many of the safety features to ensure that CrossFit Skirmish/Energy Gym remains a safe and pleasant place to train.  

If you spot anything within the CrossFit and/or Gym areas that cause you concern, please do not hesitate to alert supervisors and coaches or email us and we will rectify it immediately –

Important Changes as follows:

  • Overall gym and class capacities are capped – this is to ensure that ventilation is as per regulations.
  • Well spaced out gym equipment – we have retained wider spacing between gym equipment so that members don’t feel crowded and can socially distance if required.
  • Hand sanitiser is provided for regular use during your sessions.
  • Cleaning materials are provided – you are required to spray and clean down all equipment after use.
  • Energy Gym Pods – if you don’t want to share kit in the main gym hall there are Energy Gym ‘pods’ which can be booked by the hour that can be set up with bench & bar, kettlebell, weights, choice of cardio machine or any other kit you fancy.   We will give priority to members who are older or shielding for POD usage.  Please note you can call the team in advance and request specific kit if required on 0131 443 6526.

OnRamp Course.   Just call or email us to discuss your experience and if you should be safe to
