This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which CrossFit Skirmish Ltd, Trading as CrossFit Skirmish & Energy Gym: collect, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of CrossFit Skirmish Ltd.  This privacy policy applies to all products and services offered by CrossFit Skirmish Ltd.

Users may visit our websites anonymously (we do not use cookies for marketing purposes).

We collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to:

– When Users visit our websites (www.energygym.co.uk & www.crossfitskirmish.co.uk) to complete a taster/enquiry form or purchase an online membership.

– Personal identification information is also collected manually when you use our facilities but the information collected  is to ensure you are safe to exercise or for membership purchase.

We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information. However it may prevent them from using our products and services.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Website. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about the User’s means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilised and other similar information.

Web browser cookies

Our websites may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. The User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

How we use collected information

CrossFit Skirmish Ltd, Trading as CrossFit Skirmish & Energy Gym may collect and use User’s personal information for the following purposes:

  • To improve customer service: information Users provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  • To improve our Site: we may use feedback you provide to improve our products and services.
  • To send periodic email: we may use a User’s email address to respond to their enquiries, questions, and/or other requests.
  • To ensure your safety: Users provide us with health information prior to exercising. We use this information to determine if you are safe to exercise or if you need to be referred back to your GP for permission to exercise.  In addition to this you are required to provide a ‘next of kin’ contact so that if you do fall ill or suffer from injury we are able to contact them.
  • To process membership payments.

How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information.  This includes all personal information, username, password, transaction information and any other data stored.

Financial Details

We work with 4 online internationally recognised payment companies to give Users the option to pay by credit/debit card and/or direct debit:  Harlands Group UK, Go Cardless UK, Stripe and Paypal.  When a User signs up for a membership Users will be asked to pay in one of the following ways:

  • Direct debit mandate:   Banking details are captured via direct debit mandate (physical form or online) and provided to Harlands Group and/or Go Cardless.    These details are held securely by all parties with regular payments managed securely by Harlands Group/Go Cardless.
  • Paypal: we accept credit/debit card payments via paypal.  We do not store User card details as part of this process.
  • Stripe: we also accept credit/debit card payments by Stripe.  Users confirm card details to Stripe as part of the membership sign up process.    We do not store User card details.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent User’s personal information with 3rd parties outwith CrossFit Skirmish Ltd & Boroughmuir Rugby & Community Sports Club Ltd.

Third party websites

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

Access to information

At your request, CrossFit Skirmish Ltd, Trading as CrossFit Skirmish & Energy Gym can confirm what information we hold about you and how it is processed. If CrossFit Skirmish Ltd, Trading as CrossFit Skirmish & Energy Gym does hold personal data about you, you can request the following information:

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Visitors / users of CrossFit Skirmish Ltd, Trading as CrossFit Skirmish & Energy Gym have the ability to have all records of their personal data held by a business erased where there is no legitimate reason for that business to maintain they records.
